First time trying C&S. Ordered the chicken bolognese pasta, grilled chicken chop, beef striploin and double smash cheeseburger with sides. Had the coleslaw, potato salad, fries, mash potatoes and garlic bread. All in, relatively positive taste and pricing. My opinions; 1. Beef strip loin looks like well done but portion of it was between raw to rare. 2. Grill chicken was nice but portion is slightly small. 3. Mash potato tasted artificial and the sauce was really odd tasting. 4. The double smash cheeseburger is DAMM AWESOME!!! Will likely order from them again to sample other foods. Ate here again today. Ordered my previous double smashed cheeseburger and also the ocean catch burger. Same awesomeness!!!
"I've been hearing great things about Chops & Sear, and I finally got to try the one at 915 Tampines Street 91. I have to say, my first experience was a great one, and I'm excited to share my photo updates of their menu. What I really appreciated about this place is the wide variety of Western food options. You can get everything from classic grilled chicken chops and beef striploin to different kinds of pasta like Aglio Olio and Carbonara. I was particularly impressed with their crispy fried chicken and fish, which were perfectly cooked and had a satisfying crunch. The menu is well-organized, with clear pricing and different combo options, which makes it easy to choose whatever you want. It's a great spot for a casual and satisfying meal without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is simple and straightforward, focused on serving good food efficiently. It's clear they put effort into their menu, and I'm happy to have added my photos to show others what they can expect. If you're in the Tampines area and craving some classic Western fare, Chops & Sear is definitely worth a visit. It's a solid choice for a delicious and no-fuss meal."
Went to the Tampines branch at Blk 915 Tampines st 91. The western food itself was decent and the pricing was still reasonable, so no complaints there. Unfortunately, the service attitude really affected the experience. When I wanted to place my order, the staff (the short meaty guy) was busy, so I waited quietly. Once he attended to me, his attitude was already off, with an angry stare, no acknowledgement, and a very cold, stern tone. Even though I ordered to dine in, it was handled as takeaway, which felt intentional. When I went to collect the food, he simply looked away. I noticed a few customers after me experiencing the same attitude. It’s fine if I had to bring the food home, but the lack of basic courtesy made the experience disappointing.
