Finally tried Chop Chop @ IP after hearing my colleagues rave about it, and it did not disappoint. I got the Grill Chicken Noodle with 2 sides for $6.80, which felt super worth it for the portion size. The serving was generous, and you’re really paying for both quality and quantity :) The chicken was tender and flavourful, and the jade-green noodles reminded me of wanton mee, which I loveeee. The garlic chips on top were such a genius addition! They added a nice crunch and extra flavour to the already yummy noodles. I tried some of my colleagues’ seabass and was pleasantly surprised - the fish was chunky and really well-seasoned. For sides, my personal favs have got to be their pumpkin and broccoli. The tau kwa and cucumber salad were really good too. There was a nice variety of sides overall, and I loved how colourful my bowl looked hehe. Only downside is that the queue gets quite long during lunch time, so be prepared to wait a bit. This is definitely a solid lunch option if you want something tasty, affordable and filling!

For the Price of $3.80. A plate of turmeric rice Grill chicken at CBD area is considered Affordable and filling to the stomach. You can’t expect much on the seasoning on the food. Consider it is marinate well enough. Not a Wow Food. Side dishes are affordable too.

I chanced upon their ad and was initially doubtful of the low price. $3.80 chicken rice in an air-conditioned location is unheard of in this area. Thankfully, this is no gimmicks. The turmeric rice has a very interesting complex flavour, yet remains light and fluffy. The grilled chicken is boneless and very well marinated. They even give two types of sauces; I particularly like the sambal chilli. I later confirmed with my Thai colleague that this is likely inspired by Thai chicken briyani, Kao Mok Gai. 100% must try!
