I recently tried a few dishes from this shop with mixed results. The Mushroom Chicken Feet Noodle ($6.50) was decent. It had a hint of alkaline but could benefit from more sauce. The chicken feet were cooked just right. Mushrooms had a nice earthy flavor - they would have been even better if simmered in the sauce for more depth. The Ayam Penyet ($9.00) fell short. Tofu cubes were a highlight - lightly fried on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unfortunately the rice lacked fragrance. The chicken wasn't flattened as it should be. Stale greens topped with a barely edible chilli didn't help. For $9 I expected more authenticity and flavors. Fried Wanton (Regular $6.50) was nearly burnt. Overpowering Turmeric powder dominated the dish. Unusual spices added to the disappointment. Roasted Chicken Rice ($5.50) was a basic but satisfying option. The portion was generous. Condiments were plentiful. However no cutlery was provided. Overall this shop is decent for a quick meal if you're in the area. Just don't expect to be blown away.
Had a few terrible experiences with the malay staff lady as shown in the picture. One of the incidents was, I ordered lemon chicken rice, but the counter screen showed chicken rice (likely from the previous customer). To avoid any mistake, I calmly reconfirmed my order and repeated that it was lemon chicken rice. Instead of responding politely or clarifying, the staff member shouted “I KNOW I KNOW” in an aggressive and rude tone, completely unprovoked. There was no need for the hostility. a simple confirmation would have sufficed. Judging from the reviews here, I’m clearly not the only one who has had a negative experience with the same staff member. If the boss doesn’t want the reviews to keep dropping, you should seriously look into your customer service. This particular female staff member clearly lacks basic manners and professionalism. She seriously needs to relearn basic courtesy in Primary School, before being put at the counter again. It’s obvious from the number of 1-star reviews that this is not an isolated incident.
I want to bring attention to a particular this stall staff that has been brought up in several Google reviews posts (the staff photo was posted by one of the previous Google reviewers). Few weeks ago, I placed an order for a shredded chicken macaroni meal at evening night from this stall, and I have to say that the chicken meats serving size was rather extremely miserable (extremely shredded and tiny)! I'm not sure whether this amount is the standard portion/due to high operating costs/she did it purportedly? And/due to its stallholder boss instructions? Apologies to say, but I didn't take the dish photo. Future patrons should pay attention I genuinely hope that the stall owner takes these feedbacks issues seriously (yes, don't be a fool, please). If the right corrective actions aren't taken, a significant drop in customer satisfaction might result in your further revenue loss, which could endanger your stall's survival—potentially shutdown. Much appreciated.
