We had dinner at Cajun On Wheels at Plaza Singapura and it was one of those meals that just hits the spot if you’re craving messy, satisfying seafood done right. If you’ve been to any Cajun-style seafood places in Singapore, you already know the drill: food comes straight in a bucket, dumped right onto the table, gloves on (or not), and you eat with your hands. It’s fun, loud, and unapologetically casual. Cajun On Wheels follows that formula, but what really makes it stand out is how reliable the food is. Anyone who’s tried a few similar spots knows that sometimes the crabs can be a bit of a gamble — smaller than expected or not quite as meaty. Here, the portions felt consistent and generous, especially the crab and lobster, which are clearly the stars of the menu. The seafood itself was well-cooked and still juicy even after being tossed in sauce. Speaking of sauces, this is another area where Cajun On Wheels really shines. The variety is impressive, and it makes a big difference because it lets you customize the experience instead of everything tasting the same every visit. If it’s your first time (or even if it’s not), the Cajun sauce is the one to go for — rich, buttery, spicy in a balanced way, and packed with flavor that clings perfectly to the seafood. It’s the kind of sauce you’ll keep dipping bread or potatoes into long after the seafood is gone. The whole experience is very relaxed. You’re not there for formality — you’re there to enjoy good food, get your hands dirty, and have a great time. Everything comes out ready to eat, spread across the table, and before you know it you’re fully committed, gloves covered in sauce, cracking shells and digging in. It’s a very social way to eat, perfect for sharing and taking your time. Overall, Cajun On Wheels manages to stand out in a crowded seafood scene by doing the basics really well: good-quality seafood, consistent portions, and sauces that actually make you want to come back. If you’re in the mood for crab, lobster, and a fun, no-frills seafood feast, this place is an easy recommendation.

Visited to celebrate our son’s birthday (2 adults, 4 kids) and ordered a few platters, but unfortunately the dishes didn’t quite work for us overall. The soft shell crab had an off smell and the batter was quite thick and soggy. The aglio olio side arrived lukewarm and dry, leaning more towards simple garlic pasta. The Singapore chilli crab sauce was very mild and tasted more tomato-forward than spicy. Steamed cauliflower came with a heavy amount of minced garlic, and the sunny side up egg was served cold with an overcooked yolk. The dish concept might be interesting, but execution could be improved. The grilled seabass was generously coated with kicap manis, making it overly sweet—the kids found it hard to finish. The sambal matah was actually quite nice and refreshing, and helped balance the fish for the adults. However, it wasn’t served in a separate small container as shown in the menu—parents ordering for kids may want to note. We also tried the Naughty Platter (fried squid, grilled seabass, tiger prawns, and aglio olio). Among the seafood, the prawns stood out—fresh and nicely marinated. The fried squid batter didn’t adhere well and the texture was a bit rubbery. The loaded fries were fun at first, but the cheese sauce with the dark powder topping wasn’t very popular with the kids after a few bites. Soft drinks were also quite flat—the Sprite tasted more like sweetened water.

🌶️🦀 Cajun on Wheels – Messy Feast + Birthday Fun! 🎂🔥 Came here to celebrate a colleague’s birthday, and honestly, this place is perfect for it. Nothing brings people together like seafood bags on the table, gloves on, and everyone getting equally messy 😆 The Cajun sauce is the real MVP — rich, garlicky, buttery, and packed with a satisfying spicy kick. Every prawn, crab, and shellfish was fresh and coated generously with flavour. Portions were generous, the atmosphere was lively, and it felt relaxed enough to laugh loudly, dig in, and just enjoy the celebration. Great spot for birthdays if you want something fun, casual, and memorable (and don’t mind sticky fingers). ⭐️ Pro tip: Order extra sauce — especially for celebrations. 🎉 Verdict: Good food, good company, great birthday vibes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will definitely come back again!
