Brandon YeowWhat a flawless execution of a brilliant business model. I believe it's been a while since my last visit to this chain, but this outlet gave us a delightful experience. Free flow chips and sauces with different generous promotions and good staff training are definitely a recipe for success. After being hospitably welcomed by Nik, we were served by Dayang who observed that our seats were a little squeezy due to our bags, and offered to move us to a bigger spot on her own initiative. Her proactive service impressed me greatly, for it is rare to meet someone service-oriented to that extent. Prompt chip refills too, but self service sauces, though I assume the staff will be glad to assist. Service charge well spent indeed! The food was excellently priced and portioned with satisfactory quality. First time trying battered salmon, I'm glad I had it here! Unlike other places that are all batter and no fish, the batter here was hugging the thick, dense fish fillet. Potato salad was tangy and mashed potatoes were buttery, and both had a nice bite. I've gotten a great experience at this restaurant and would love to come back again, and bring other friends. Thank you to Nik and Dayang for the wonderful dinner. I look forward to my next opportunity!
Jacob TANCame here because of the promotion today. There was a 50% off total bill. The only time I ate at Big fish small fish was when it was in Punggol. Today, we had the sea bass done in 3 ways - original, japanese and grilled. All 3 styles of the fish were good but I preferred the original style. The salad had a "mango" tasting dressing which was fine for me but one of my dining buddy didn't like. The rice and mashed potatoes were nice but the aglio olio spaghetti was very oily and lack garlic or olive taste. Coffee here is good. Service can be better. Overall, with the 50% discount, it was ok.
A PersonWe had a very pleasant anniversary lunch at this clean and fresh looking outlet. The atmosphere was superb and most conducive to having a quiet chat. Naim, who served us, made us feel welcome with his relaxed, warm and friendly nature. We really appreciated the crispy chips and water too. Our baked fish was done to perfection, and delicious ! The pilaf rice and mashed potato were tasty too. The banana leaf on which the fish was placed had a slightly smoked flavour, which might be preferred by some. All in all, thank you to all staff for the wonderful experience !
