We’ve been coming here almost every week for the ayam penyet. It used to be $5, and over the years the price increased gradually by $0.50 each time, which is understandable due to inflation and rising rental costs, and that's not the issue here. What I cannot accept is increasing the price to $8 during Ramadan, the holiest month of the year. Why is there a sudden jump to $8? We were told, “No dine-in, takeaway only $8.” Are you increasing the price just to cover slower sales during the fasting month? That responsibility shouldn’t fall on customers by marking up 14.28% for the exact same ayam penyet. Do you realise how this looks from a customer’s perspective? This isn’t the right way to run a business. Takeaway charges are usually an extra $0.20 or so, not a sudden 14.28% increase just because it’s Ramadan. This isn’t nasi ambeng with extra dishes added into the packaging. It’s the same ayam penyet we’ve been buying for $7 throughout the years, almost every single day. I was extremely upset when my parent was told she couldn’t dine in and had to pay $8 for each ayam penyet for takeaway. Taking advantage of customers isn't the way to do business during the holy month of Ramadan. "Increasing food prices during Ramadan, while a common economic phenomenon driven by high demand and, at times, unethical profiteering, is generally considered contradictory to Islamic teachings. Scholars emphasize that inflating prices during this holy month is unethical, as it hampers the ability of the needy to observe, and urge traders to ensure food remains affordable."

Have eaten a lot at this coffeeshop and I love it. Masala thosai had been always my go to here. But today, we eat beef hor fun and nasi goreng ayam Pattaya. Very nice. Even the naan here is great. If you want some late night food, come here. The seafood place closes at 2.45am.

Do food stall owner realize their customers have tastebud, tongue and teeth? Disappointing. The fried chicken I received was extremely dry, tough, and difficult to eat. The meat lacked its usual juiciness, and the coating was unusually hard, which led me to believe that the chicken may not have been freshly prepared.
