I recently bought a takeout at Ayam Penyet President 1 North Coast (Woodlands) and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. While I was looking at the promotional poster displayed in front of the restaurant, I approached a staff member named Hani (a lady in a red shirt) to ask for clarification. Instead of responding politely, she spoke in a rude and dismissive tone, simply saying it was a Ramadan deal. When I asked why the poster was still displayed if the promotion was no longer applicable, she replied in an unfriendly manner, telling me to “just read it for Ramadan,” which came across as sarcastic and unhelpful. After the interaction, I went back out to check the poster again and noticed that there was actually no indication at all that it was a Ramadan promotion. This made the situation even more confusing and frustrating. Customer service is a big part of any dining experience, and this interaction left a very negative impression. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place.
Overall not bad, but quantity not very filling. Chicken thigh ok, chicken breast not quite for me. Chilli can take more as you like. Self service soup quite tasty, but very peppery. Chendol dessert mixed with jackfruits, unique combination, but I prefer traditional.
Price: 4/5 Food Quality: 3/5 Staff and Service: 5/5 Ambience: 3.5/5 Colleagues and I (4pax) went here for lunch I think it’s newly opened, so we got 20% discount😃 Which is really good Before 12(lunch) the restaurant is already full. You are not allowed to order in the cashier (dine in), if you haven’t secured a seat. However, the staff helped us to get a table (exchanged with other patrons who are using 2 tables instead of 1 (for 2 pax). Everyone is very courteous.😃 I didn’t get to try Avocado Juice, because not available. I have tried other outlets, so kinda know what to expect with the food. I will usually order Beef Rendang and Ayam Penyet. The beef rendang has a more gingery taste. My only comment is that my beef rendang have too many fat instead of meat(not a fan of the fatty part of this dish). See photo.
