Previously tried the ayam penyet here and really enjoyed it, so I was surprised to discover they also serve breakfast at Ayam Penyet President in Hillion Mall. This time I tried the Chocolate Bread Toast, Hae Bee Hiam Bread Toast, and Lontong Sayur. The toast options were the highlight for me, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and full of flavour. The Chocolate Toast was rich and comforting, while the Hae Bee Hiam version had a nice savoury kick with fragrant shrimp sambal. The Lontong Sayur came with rice cakes, tofu, egg, vegetables, and kerupuk. Personally, I found it a little oily for my preference, but it was still a comforting local-style breakfast. Breakfast also comes with a complimentary tea or coffee, which makes it quite value for money.
Everything was great! The duo grilled chicken has a deep smoky flavour and the chilli pairs well too. The tahu telor, fried beancurd omelette has a soft interior and crispy but not oily omelette. The yellow rice is also fragrant
My Husband and I always loved to dine in ,and we loved the food. And yesterday when i was at work i decided to order food for my husband as usual his favourite rendang and pandan coffee with gula.and ayam penyet. He was so excited but unfortunately coffee spilled into my ayam penyet. When received ,It’s just disappointing that the coffee was not sealed properly or mishandle correctly. I spend 7.20’ for that coffee ,quite expensive and end up in a messed and didn’t enjoy it. Food was just left outside hanging on the gate..my husband try to email and whatsapp but didn’t bother to respond..mistakes are prone to happen ,thats understandable, but when email and WhatsApp send no respond ,this makes us wonder if matter is being looked into.
