I visited this place on three separate occasions to explore a range of dishes, as I have a fondness for Sarawakian delicacies. The stall is tucked within the 8890 Eating House. On my first visit, I tried the Money Cai Longevity Noodles. It is not a commonly found vegetable, which made the dish particularly interesting. The portion was reasonable for the price, but the noodles were a little too oily and slightly on the salty side. During my second visit, I ordered the Kolo Mee. The portion size was decent, and the flavour exceeded my expectations, especially after a somewhat underwhelming first experience. On my most recent visit, I had the Tomato Ketchup Crispy Noodles. This dish stood out, with large, fresh prawns and a well-balanced, satisfying flavour. The only consistent downside across all visits was the service. The staff came across as rather unfriendly, with an attitude that may not be well received by diners.
Ordered foodpanda Tomato sauce for keow teow was luke warm when we received Ordered the set with the mani vege and chestnut Love that the chestnut drink was frozen before so it kept cold Mani vege was interesting I wished my kolo mee was spicy. I’ll order that next time Delivery was almost $27 for this and too expensive
Have seen this coffee shop just outside Aljunied MRT Station and wanted to try the Sarawak stall. It sells not only kolo mee but also other interesting items such as money cai noodle ($6.90) which I tried. I added a bowl of wanton soup ($5). Just as I guess correctly the noodle was a bit too dry for me but the wok hei and taste made up for the dryness. Wanton was good sized and delicious. I love that there’s the sour red chilli too. Looks like I’ll be back for the kolo mee another time.
