ANDES by Aston is located in Woods Square, a relatively new mall, accessible by its older heartland malls like Woodlands Civic Center and Causeway Point (from basement level), conveniently close to Woodlands MRT. Most of their tenants are food and beverage, I believe its target costumers must be majority working adults around the area. It’s good because it’s always crowded in Causeway Point. I’m not sure why some outlets are named Aston and this one has Andes on it, but it has the same menu. Aston is my go-to place to get decent meal, the price is reasonable for a comfortable sit down restaurant. It’s a good option to eat with acquaintances or family members. It has changed to menu using QR code but there was a time when I came with my parents (another branch) and it could still provide a physical menu when I asked (which imo, is very important for customers who prefer that). The staff here are friendly and efficient. The food itself is up to the standard. However, I’d say the restaurant feels less homy than other branch, maybe because it has full glass all around and we are in one of the hottest months in Singapore. It feels bright and not very relaxing to dine in. Besides that, the seating area also feels more cramp and very close to other tables while I prefer booth or more homy style like the branches in Sembawang Shopping Center or Thomson Mall. Forgot to take picture of the food! Spouse ordered combo meal (grilled steak & chicken) while I order black pepper fish. Potato salad, baked potato, garden salad as side dishes.
the absolute worst service. First off, why do you have a reservation system, but we still have to queue up in a line for another 20mins?? Reserved at 7:30PM, as we have a big group celebrating Mother’s Day and Birthday Celebrations. Got a call saying they’re overrun and will have to wait 10mins -i’m fine with that, but telling us we have to join the long queue even when we reserved a table for eight? Ridiculous. Only got to seat around 7:50PM, which I could turn a blind eye to because we were all looking forward to this. Secondly, it’s a birthday celebration. We asked prior if it was okay for us to buy a cake, and if they would provide us with small plates. The guy in green told us it’s okay and gave us the green light. Fast forward to after our meal, we requested for some small plates and the staff outrightly rejected us and gave us some tissues instead. If we can’t be served plates, why couldn’t you tell us prior? The attitude and service is really just abysmal. Don’t get me started on the wait for the food. 50 minutes. Five Zero. and even after all that wait, guess the most disappointing part? It’s not even warm and the taste was so watery that people would have thought you seasoned the steaks with water instead of salt. Mind-blowing. Andes’s quality of service and food has dropped to an astonishingly low level, and it’s not even worth visiting anymore. Super super super long wait, with subpar service and food. It’s a waste of time to visit this outlet. My entire family was disappointed and our night ruined. I highly recommend to pass on celebrations at this outlet, unless you’re looking for disappointment.
Kudos to the friendly crew at this outlet. 🥹✨ Had my late dinner here and food was amazing even though fiery chicken was not available but staff managed to recommend me something similar & I love it! Very attentive to details which I really appreciate the gesture. Service was fast & efficient. Definitely my fav go to outlet whenever I crave for Andes. Thanks for the genuine service especially from the brown haired with bangs lady who served me at the cashier. 🤍
