Enter on 3/4/26 Good Friday morning was a horrible experience. There was no jam at Sg custom ( gantry ) & JB custom . The horrible experience was at the Sg side after passed through the gantry . Everyone was jam at the staircase going towards the causeway bus . The escalator was blocked ( not allowing anyone to use ) not sure why ? There are no crowd control at SG side , very disappointed. End up we have to walk across the JB bridge which was quite dangerous, the walking path was not even properly planned , track toward the JB custom was suddenly “cut off ‘. There should be proper path either overhead path or underground linking from SG to JB custom. SG crowd control was getting worse . I hope the authority will look into it. It pose impending danger to the commuter.
Congestion over 90% of the time when I visited. Sometimes after clearing the immigration it is still jam to even get out of the checkpoint. Makes me feel that there is something wrong with the design of the entire layout. Efficiency should be much better than the other side of the causeway with QR code scanning clearance but I am struggling to understand why the congestion always.
I’ve gone through this checkpoint quite a few times. Process of immigration and security is super quick and easy. Ride over just takes 5-7 minutes. Only thing that really takes a lot of time is the line if you’re too early. It’s very easy to get here as you can reach by car, bus (from Woodlands MRT station), and bike if you really want to. Would recommend not going traveling through the Weekends if you can as it gets super busy and more competitive for tickets.
