ery disappointed with the service at Ananas Tampines Interchange. There is one Chinese staff member who is extremely rude and unfriendly. On my first visit, I ordered a food item and politely requested for no long beans. Another Chinese staff member attended to me and completed my order without any issue. However, during my next visit, I made the exact same request and this rude staff member immediately said, “Cannot ask for no long beans.” I then explained that the previous time another staff member had done it for me. He kept asking which staff member it was, then started making calls and creating unnecessary drama over a simple request. After that, he even came out of the shop just to tell me again that I “cannot order with no long beans.” I told him that I’m not his staff, and if such requests are not allowed, management should properly brief all employees so customers receive consistent information. Instead of understanding my point, he kept repeating, “I’m telling you only.” Since then, whenever I see him doing the cooking, I choose not to buy from the shop at all. Customer service and communication really need improvement. A simple request became such an unpleasant experience because of his attitude. I understand if certain customisations are not allowed, but there’s a proper way to speak to customers. The issue was never about the long beans — it was the rude tone, unnecessary confrontation, and poor customer service. If other staff can accommodate or explain things politely, then there is no reason for customers to be treated this way. Management should ensure all staff are properly trained and give consistent information instead of making customers feel unwelcome. I have been supportive of the shop before, but experiences like this honestly make people not want to return. Honestly, I was shocked because that was not what I said at all. While I was making my PayNow payment and trying to explain myself, he suddenly replied, “Now I’m angry, I don’t want to sell to you, how?” I immediately told him, “Then refund my money lah!” This staff member is constantly grumpy, confrontational, and seems unable to communicate professionally with customers. It genuinely feels like he has serious attitude issues that need to be addressed because customers should not have to deal with this kind of behaviour just for ordering food. To be fair, the other Chinese guy — who I believe may be the boss from Mr Burger — is actually very nice and polite. The Malay ladies working at Ananas Tampines Interchange are also VERY, VERY friendly and pleasant. The issue is only with this one grumpy man whose behaviour keeps ruining the customer experience.
Rly good food at cheap affordable prices. Recommend ayam penyet set and ayam baker set. Both are delicious and high value at 5.80
Been buying chicken rice here almost every morning before going to work. Occasionally my husband will buy for me when I WFH. However I noticed the taste is not the same anymore. Rice doesn’t have the fragrance or taste of what a chicken rice should taste like, the chicken also smell (doesnt smell like its freshly made, it has that cold fridge smell like its been kept overnight, if you know what i mean). Wont be getting the chicken rice from here anymore.
