Tried Amigo’s at Bukit Batok, but unfortunately had a bad experience. Ordered the fish cutlet and chicken chop here. The chicken chop was fine, but I was disappointed to find a fly in the fish cutlet. Really hope the stall improves its hygiene because the food has potential, but cleanliness needs to be taken seriously. The staff should really improve the hygiene and food handling.
Ordered a 2 piece text mex plate. What I got doesn't justify the price i paid. 2 pieces of small portion that looked little it's bought frozen. It's so terribly overpriced. The guacamole and salsa were decent but nowhere near good. I also ordered the Guac and salsa fries which were terribly average as well.
Ordered 3 Pcs fried chicken tex-mex for lunch . Fries were not crisp and soggy , seasoning was okay . Good spice kick and saltiness to it , overall there is room for improvement . Salsa was extremely disappointing , not fresh , soft and mushy with extra brine water flooding the plate. It tasted like it was made last week and left in the cooler for awhile . Guacamole was not freshly made with avocados , it was bitter and sad with a weird taste . It looked like the guacamole was squeezed out of a pre packed tube of guac. The fried chicken was done well , crispy , golden brown and juicy. Unfortunately it was smothered with off brand tasting siracha mayonnaise . The condiment overshadowed what would otherwise be good fried chicken . For the price $10 , you can get a plate of better quality food at Macdonalds or any other fast food place which comes with a drink which amigos do not provide . It would have came in handy washing down the taste of disappointment .
