Prata taste is objectively as common as it can get so nothing to complain there, fish curry is standard - sour taste. However, prices are weird. Normally prata shops will charge different prices for plain prata - for this case, $1.50 for 1 plain and $2.60 for 2 plain. When I ordered 2 plain + 2 egg, the cashier wanted to charge me $3 for the 2 plain prata ($1.50 each) instead of $2.60. He went on to justify his pricing, saying that since I ordered 2 plain + 2 egg, it means that within my party of 2, each person ordered 1 plain + 1 egg, so plain should be charged as $1.50 each instead of $2.60 for 2. This is my first time experiencing such pricing, and I doubt this is the standard across other prata shops because no where else I went charges like this.
Simple prata stalls that constantly have people 🧍🧍♀️🧍♂️ordering 🗣️from them. To be fair, I have always ordered 📝 just the Prata and not the rest of the dishes like Nasi 🍚Goreng or Nasi Biryani 🍛. Today I tried their Chicken 🐓 Murtabak and here’s my review. Staff : To be honest, both 🧑🏿🦳👱🏿of them were pretty aloft 🤨 when they first started. Because it is just downstairs from my house 🏠, I visited rather frequently. As time ⏰went by, they got friendlier 🤪 so, not as bad. Gentlemen 💁🏿 took my order 🧾 of Prata and Chicken 🐔Murtabak, I paid 💰and went back to my table. Deal is, they will call 🗣️you once it is ready, no beeper 📟🚨will be provided. Food : The Prata is pretty good 👍. Not super duper crispy but it’s decent and tastes good 😋. We had the Egg 🥚, Plain and cheese 🧀 before, all pretty good. This time I ordered the Large size Chicken 🐓Murtabak to share with my daughter 👧🏼. Pretty good 👍 I must say! Nice and crispy on the outside, and fluffy 💭on the inside. The chicken 🐓 is well marinated and nicely cooked. The outside retained the crispy bits so it was really nice 😋 to bite into. And the inside is fluffy and begging for you to pour the curry 🥘 over it! (See my pics 📸) Also went back to get a curry top up and they happily gave me a new bowl of curry. I think we enjoyed the eat out session and it was pretty good. Considering we only have one other Indian stall around, I will say they have stood the test of time ⏰ and are pretty good, looking forward to trying some of their other dishes.
Its a simple no frills prata place to me. Nothing much to expect, just my come to place for a good solid prata within this area. Service is as expected. I usually come for prata only so i can only comment for this and none of their other food. So far its been good and didnt disappoint me. Always made on the spot when ordered in the morning. Yums.
