I decided to try Al Falah Restaurant after walking past and seeing how crowded it was, figuring the food had to be good. The reality was pretty chaotic, though—the layout is confusing, and it took a while just to figure out where to even place an order. When the food finally arrived, the prata was nicely crispy on the outside, but the dough itself was way too thick for my liking. The curry was also a letdown as it lacked that rich, savory fragrance you usually expect. They do serve a separate chili sauce on the side to pair with the prata, but it leaned much more toward being sweet rather than actually spicy. The one saving grace was their teh tarik, which was genuinely quite good and hit the perfect level of sweetness. Overall, it is a fine spot to grab a tea, but the messy ordering process and average food mean it didn't quite live up to the hype of the crowd.

Kitty and I were cycling in Hougang, when she developed a craving for teh tarik, We happened upon Al Falah Restaurant, and decided to give it a try, We initially ordered a kopi tarik, and a teh tarik, but the crowd was so considerable, that I decided to check their Google rating, over 4 stars, I was intrigued to see such a busy prata establishment at that hour, so I convinced Kitty to sample their prata too. We ordered one plain prata, The coffee, and tea were acceptable, but unremarkable. However, the prata was exceptionally crispy. Unfortunately, it lacked a robust flavour, and Kitty, and I were seeking more oomph. The presentation was satisfactory, but unexceptional, Despite being heavily crowded, the establishment was surprisingly clean, and not overly noisy. The ambience was lively, and energetic. What truly distinguished the experience was the service, We relinquished our seats for a family with young children, and relocated to some stone chairs in the public area. To our surprise, a member of staff promptly brought over a small table for our use, we were genuinely impressed by their thoughtfulness, and sincerity. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Prata is crispy on the outside, not too doughy and it's fluffy inside. One of our orders is Egg & Cheese Prata and the ingredients are generous enough, and the curry dip is tasty too! I usually order Maggie Goreng in white and the taste is decent and the doneness it's just right (not soggy) and it doesn't taste salty. if you like Teh Halia (Ginger Tea), their ginger taste is strong and match well with the sweetness of the tea! Staff are attentive and patient with your order. Hearsay the Prata is not bad, we visited during late evening (almost supper time) and many diners at that hour.
