My first time trying. Muffin is indeed moist but the fillings were quite disappointing, except for lava chocolate. 🫐 blueberry granola: found a small amount of dried blueberries, all stuck at the bottom corner when I was close to finishing the entire muffin. The distribution was very uneven, so about 90% of the muffin tasted plain. 🍋Cranberry lemon had cranberry slices inside, but no noticeable lemon flavour. I did spot some dried lemon peel cubes on top, but that’s about it. I bought this out of curiosity for the cranberry lemon combination, but sadly couldn’t taste any lemon at all. 🍫Dark chocolate - Just a few dark chocolate couvertures on top, with a plain muffin interior. I know choc is now vvvvv pricey, but didn’t expect to have no choc filling inside at all. 🌋🍫The only impressive one is lava chocolate, this one genuinely had a molten chocolate centre and delivered as expected. Would appreciate better consistency, as some reviews mentioned muffins being generously packed with fillings, which unfortunately wasn’t the case for mine. If you’re trying this for the first time, I’d suggest getting just one or two flavours rather than overbuying like I did.
Absolutely delicious muffins! 🤤 Ah Ta's Muffins is an unassuming hidden gem in Serangoon Gardens Hawker Centre. I appreciate that it's not too sweet :) but just the right amount of sweetness. The muffins are fluffy and not dense at all, and it's also not too dry or wet. It's just the perfect amount of moisture in a muffin :) For the raisin muffin, there was a generous serving of raisins. They were evenly spaced out too, so there's a raisin in every bite. The banana muffin was yummy too. Both of the muffins had a good flavour, you can tell that it's made from good quality ingredients and butter. The flavour was evenly mixed throughout the muffins. I bought banana and walnut ($3.10) and raisin ($2.60), The muffins were reasonably sized for this price. An affordable sweet treat after a meal at Serangoon Gardens.
Tried their dark chocolate banana muffin ($3.3) and it was really nice! I can't rem the last time I had a nice muffin that was moist and tasty so this was a pleasant surprise. :)
