The lighting is dim and it makes the place rather gloomy. It does not help when one has to make a trip to the hospital and has to eat as one is hungry. Nonetheless, the service was prompt. The cashier auntie is patient. I ordered two items and she repeated my order to make sure they were correct. A doctor before me was upset as a fellow colleague had allowed an uncle to jump queue. The old uncle was an elderly and was walking with the aid of a walking stick. He told the auntie off as he said that he did not allow the uncle to cut the queue and told her that she should have asked him to queue up as there were many others queuing. The auntie managed to keep her composure and continued to serve the other customers. I heard her sharing the incident with a fellow colleague, maybe to let it off her chest. It was the hectic lunch hour and a little understanding goes a long way. I always teach my sons that I want them to be knowledgeable to get a good job in the future so that they will grow up to serve others, not to look down and take advantage of people. Education must have failed on that doctor.
The queue here can get pretty long but the food was decent. Only 2 active staff behind the counter, a lady cashier and a Myanmese man preparing the food. Both efficient so the wait was not too long. Had the mee rebus, gravy was thick and portion was good. Seating was plenty off peak hours, the location opposite A&E entrance.
