  We made same-day reservation with no problem on a Saturday. However the day we chose to dine here, there was an event going on in the restaurant. I felt the ambience of 1819 was somewhat disturbed by an external event that is taking place within the cafe space, disrupting the noise levels and we couldn’t quite talk amongst ourselves amid the noise. Several key items were not available in the menu, including the meat platter for sharing, and some sides. So we chose other mains and sides instead. The food arrived rather quickly, service was prompt and staff are courteous. Special mention to the male staff who offered me an upgrade to seafood tom yum pasta instead of fish. If there is a feedback we could offer - probably be that to change the dory to another type of fish for the fish & chips dish. We would probably come and dine here again with hopes that the full menu is available. Payment is in cash or Paynow only.

  We celebrated a birthday here and the staff were so accommodating, even helping with decor! 🎉 My family really enjoyed the hospitality. The grilled platter and burger were delicious! 🍖🍔😊

  me and my boyfriend had such a wonderful experience at 1819 Aliwal and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and amazing service. The customer service was by far the most friendly and kind I’ve ever experienced, especially from James. He made us feel so welcomed and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Since we were breaking our fast, they even gave us free drinks for us to break fast, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Throughout the meal, the staff kept checking on us to make sure everything was fine. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked, and you can really tell they care about the quality of what they serve. To top it all off, they surprised us with free desserts and fruits after our meal. Overall, everything at 1819 Aliwal was perfect from the food to the service and the warm hospitality. I would definitely come back again!
